"Our rogue band holds many tales."
A small, jet black cat sits infront of you, tail wrapped up at her side as her head is raised up high to look you in your eye.
"Allow the dark forest to tell you a story...child."
"Why won't he ever play with us?"
"I don't know, maybe he doesn't like our games?"
"He seems sad..."
I would always hear them speak, yet their every word would brush past my ears like a summer breeze. Their antics did not interest me, I never felt like playing their childish games...
"Do not trust them"
Yet their words...Not those of my brethren, but rather by the taller ones. They were not like us, but I understood them so much better than I understood my own kind. I could not speak to them, but their words did something to me...
"Do you have any idea what trouble you're causing?"
As I grew, they took me in as some sort of assistant. I did 'missions' for them, hunting for all sorts of different animals. I heard their screams, their pleas for mercy as my jaws bore into their necks...My bosses did not seem to mind their begging, so I would not either.
"Please listen to me!"
As one day on my huntings, I came across a larger group of animals...Cats. I understood their babbling, but it was more than the regular survival instinct. I did not bother staying hidden.
"Snap back to it"
I tried to speak to the cats, thinking my voice would scare them away. But...they understood my words. We began to talk, I presume my words were exchanged by their leader. What was her name again...? Wait yes..It's coming back to me...
Hound.
"You promised me something"
As I stood watching from the ledge, I noticed her body fall limp. It was dark, but I could see the blood splattered along the floor and her attacker.
"Are you really willing to break that promise to avenge one cat?"
My fangs showed, but I remained hidden along the treetops and boulders.
"Do not bring them to us"
This cat would pay.
"You have not seen the damage they can cause!"
Because I am here
"Do you really not remember?"
And they shall follow...
"Drive..."
