OMG you guys yes. Humans, human, humans!
How about a road is built a little bit away from the clans territories, say west, and the pollution and noise scares off some prey , say just around one of the clans territories. That clan speaks about it at the next gathering, and it sets off some muttering within the other clans.
The construction sub sides, and the clans relax. Then, on a half moon or so cars begin to use the road. The clan originally troubled by the road is flustered and sends a patrol to the nearest clan to warn them. How about that clan ignores the warning, saying that it is complete idiotic to believe in 'monsters.' Then, more and more cars begin to use the road, scaring off the prey in that clan. Now, all the prey is flooding into the eastern territories.
The eastern sides of the clans don't complain of course, because the prey is fleeing from the new road and entering their territories. The original clan is furious, and decides to warn the other clans at the next gathering that its their prey that is entering the other clans territories. The other clans are outraged, that they would accuse them as prey stealers and put their backs to the clan.
Enraged, the original clan lays an attack on the nearest clan, claiming that they deserve more territory as they have little prey. They are defeated, as they are starting to get weak and hunger begins to show on their pelts.
Pollution sets in, and the road begins to affect the clans nearest the original clan. Raids are being sent out at the boarders as the original clan begins stealing prey from the other clans. This spreads like wild fire through the clans, as theOriginal clan (I'll call it O clan) Gets more desperate.

At the next gathering, the other clans are outraged at the O clan's behaviour and Stoneclan begins to sneer at them that they are prey stealers to weak to hunt. The O clan retorts that they need more territory, and a quarrel sets off, ending when clouds cover the moon.
Human encounters begin to happen near Stoneclan, were snares are being set as hunters are nearing the clans, the road attracting them as there is a hunting lodge really far east. Many cats are getting their paws and tails caught in these snares. At the O clan, pollution is getting worse.
